A lot of our UKSPF funded development project is about the big building project here at Holy Nativity, but at the same time we are still focused on delivering all the amazing activities and community benefits that we already do.
To help us with that we get lots of support from local, regional and national funders and we are thrilled to report that we have two grants just in which will help us move forward.
First, with the support of the Community Foundation for Calderdale, we have received a generous grant from the Ovenden Moor Windfarm Fund towards refurbishing our kitchen. With the Pay as you Can Cafe going from strength to strength it will be great to upgrade the kitchen so that we can produce even more delicious food for everyone to enjoy – Thank You!
Secondly we have been granted £5,000 from the Bishops Development Fund (part of the Diocese of Leeds) towards the cost of appointing an architect to help us begin the planning and design for the much larger improvements to the whole building. With this initial funding in place we are now able to speak to other funders and are hopeful that over the summer we will be able to launch our full Building Together project with the support of the whole community.
