Lots of people have been asking about what kind of Bible they should get. We tend to use the NRSV at Holy Nativity because it is very readable. That said, we use various different translations depending on what we are using it for. I also quite like The Message although it sometimes takes poetic license with how it retells the bible in a modern way.
