At Holy Nativity we have been working hard to start a vocational community of 18-30 year olds. This is our vision for the future here that we have been working on for the last three years.
Revd Robb works as part of the Church of England’s national strategy to ensure that there are churches and ministers in all of England’s social housing estates. At Holy Nativity, we want to play our part in the estates of Mixenden and Illingworth in North Halifax. We are making opportunities for people to get experience of working within the church and living it out here on our estates.
It is a long road and Emily has been our pioneer! She has been the first to come and live and work among us. She has lodged with a member of the congregation and been part of all that we do for a year. Check out the video above to see the year from Emily’s perspective!
We are very grateful for her time with us and will miss her. We really hope that after the pandemic she will come back so that we can give her a proper Holy Nativity send off!
