The Mixenden Internship Scheme – growing young leaders.

Taking the Youth Group to Flamingo Land

At Holy Nativity we believe that everyone has something to offer.  Regardless of where you come from, what formal education you have, what job you are currently doing or what dreams you may have for the future; we believe that everyone has gifts, skills and passions that God has given them which we can use to build The Kingdom of God in the local community.

As a church, we want to help and support young people and young adults to discover what their path in life might be.  This is why we have set up the Mixenden Internship scheme.

Meeting the Archbishop of York at the Estates Evangelism Task Group

Holy Nativity’s Internship scheme is an amazing opportunity to explore what it means to be a disciple of Christ and to serve the world through His church.  It is designed to equip you for life and work and to develop skills in leadership in whatever role you find yourself in nextThe scheme is open to anyone aged 18 to 25 and runs from September to July.  We particularly welcome applications from young people who have grown up on estates like the ones we serve here in North Halifax.

Combatting Holiday Hunger

Throughout your year at Holy Nativity you will gain practical hands on experience across all our church activities. Depending upon your needs, there are opportunities for training or study designed to fit with your interests and aspirations. We also hope that you will experience community living through our weekly rhythm of prayer and worship.

Our priority is for the MixyIntern to explore their own abilities and passions and discover where God may be calling you. To achieve this, each internship is different.
