Planning for the Future

Planning for the Future

Launching our new vision.

Thanks to investment from Calderdale Council and the UK Shared Prosperity Fund* Holy Nativity is embarking on an ambitious three year project to develop our building and the activities which take place in it throughout the week.

Although planning has been going on for a few years, the project took a big step forward on 1 March with the appointment of our Development Manager, Jo Beacroft-Mitchell and we are now beginning to shape the plan and work with partners and funders to help us meet our strategic goals.

Strategic aspirations for the Project

Over the next three years we aspire to see

For our church and community

  • A state of the art environmentally sustainable building and grounds with the minimum possible carbon footprint and sustainable running costs.
  • A happy, well run and efficient volunteer hub offering opportunities to experience a positive Christian community in action.
  • A happy and fulfilled Christian community who are proud of their achievement and are committed to investing in the quality of their church into the future.
  • A sustainable plan for staffing and volunteering to maintain the life of the community into the future.
  • An ongoing project for working with young people supported by a funded Youth Worker post.
  • Sustainable income streams that ensure the ongoing costs of our church are met.

With the wider world

  • A project that draws the attention of the wider church and acts as an inspiration to other communities especially those on estates like ours.
  • A group of external stakeholders invested in the success of Holy Nativity, acting as our advocates and willing to find and offer investment of time as well as funding.
  • Stakeholders who view us as a case study for best practice and want to continue and grow their support for our vision.

Further updates as the plan develops will be shared here.  Anyone who wants to know more and get involved can contact jo@holynativity.co.uk
